How do I find my size?

Our sizing uses two parts: a length and a fit. Start with length — match your height to the guide on our Fit Guide. Then choose your fit: Regular (closer cut), Standard (traditional thobe silhouette), or Relaxed (generous, flowing fit). If you're unsure, most customers find Standard fits them best.

What do Regular, Standard, and Relaxed mean?

These describe the width through the body. Regular is a closer, more structured cut — similar to a fitted shirt. Standard is the traditional thobe silhouette with comfortable room. Relaxed is the widest cut, with a generous, flowing fit. Full chest measurements for each are on our Fit Guide.

My size isn't showing — can I still order it?

Yes. Some sizes are available to order on request. Email us at info@thobestudio.co.uk before placing your order and we'll confirm availability and arrange it for you.

Do you offer custom sizing?

We don't currently offer fully bespoke garments, but if you need a size or length that isn't listed, get in touch. We may be able to help depending on your requirements.

What's the difference between the Brilliant White and the other colours?

The Brilliant White is made from 100% premium Japanese fabric — thicker, softer, and with a refined lustre that sets it apart. Our Sand, Forest Green, and Royal Black thobes are crafted from premium poly viscose suiting: structured, crease-resistant, and built for all-day everyday wear. Both are quality fabrics — they serve different purposes and that's reflected in the price.

Will the fabric crease badly throughout the day?

Our poly viscose suiting is specifically chosen for its crease resistance — it holds its shape from morning to evening. The Japanese fabric used in the Brilliant White is thick enough to maintain its structure naturally. Neither requires ironing after every wear, though a light press keeps them looking sharp.

How do I care for my poly viscose thobe? (Sand, Forest Green, Royal Black)

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle or delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent — avoid bleach or fabric softener. Remove promptly after washing and hang to dry on a wide hanger away from direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. The fabric is crease-resistant so ironing is rarely needed, but if required use a medium heat with a pressing cloth or steam iron.

How do I care for my Japanese fabric thobe? (Brilliant White)

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle or delicate cycle. Use a mild detergent without bleach. Hang to dry on a wide hanger — do not tumble dry as this can affect the fabric's structure and lustre. To keep it looking its best, iron on a medium-low heat while slightly damp, or use a garment steamer. Store on a hanger rather than folded to preserve the shape.

Can I dry clean my thobe?

Dry cleaning is safe for both fabrics if you prefer it for your occasion wear. For everyday garments, machine washing on a gentle cycle is perfectly fine and won't damage the fabric.

How long does delivery take?

We process and dispatch within 1–3 business days. Standard UK delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 48) is free and typically arrives 2–3 business days after dispatch. Express delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 24) is available at checkout for £4.99 and arrives the next business day after dispatch.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently ship to the United Kingdom only. If you're based outside the UK and interested in ordering, email us at info@thobestudio.co.uk and we'll let you know when international shipping becomes available.

Will I receive tracking information?

Yes — once your order is dispatched you'll receive a tracking number by email. If you haven't heard from us within 5 business days of ordering, contact us at info@thobestudio.co.uk.

What is your returns policy?

You have 30 days from the day you receive your order to request a return. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and with tags attached. Return postage is at your cost unless the item is faulty. Full details are on our Returns & Refunds page.

What if my item is faulty or not as described?

Contact us within 30 days of delivery at info@thobestudio.co.uk with a photo and we'll arrange a return at our cost and issue a full refund or replacement.

Can I exchange for a different size?

We don't currently offer direct exchanges. Return the original item for a refund and place a new order for the correct size. If you're unsure which size to order, check our Fit Guide or email us first — we'd rather help you get it right first time.
